Filtering only works when annotating for an object detector. Note, if ANY box within an image falls outside the filters’ parameters then the entire file is excluded from the export.
The filtering means you can see which images or images with boxes fall outside of acceptable parameters, such as; size for boxes, colour and contrast. The use of the statistics view can help with the filtering.
Files that fall outside the parameters of the filter(s) are displayed in the filing panel as greyed out. These files can still be selected and edited; indeed you might want to remove boxes that are causing the file to be filtered. Any box that falls outside of the filters is displayed with a hatched pattern. You can either rectify the issue by altering the size of the box or delete the box from the image.
